Bernard A. Sentianin, CPG, RG, RE, Principal Geologist, has worked closely with GEC since 1999 to assist our clients with hazardous materials and contamination issues, through high quality Phase I through Phase III site assessments prepared swiftly and expertly at a reasonable price, and potential hazards assessment of redevelopment project areas. As Principal Geologist of EEI, Mr. Sentianin provides consulting and technical services as a project manager, expert witness, and senior geologist for investigation and cleanup efforts at sites impacted by Petroleum Hydrocarbons, heavy metals, pesticides, and chlorinated solvents. As a remediation specialist, he has hands on experience designing, installing, and managing large scale projects involving above ground and in-situ bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, sparging, and groundwater extraction/treatment. He has 17 years of environmental project management experience and over 19 years professional geologic experience.
Polly Ivers, Staff Scientist, has nearly eight years of experience in environmental biology, including wildlife biology, biological surveys, EIR, NEPA, CEQA, ESA, and CESA. Ms. Ivers has a degree from the University of Colorado in Environmental Biology and has held positions with the United States Forest Service, Fish and Game, National Marine Services, and the National Oceanic, Atmospheric Associations. Since joining EEI in 2004, Ms. Ivers has conducted and supervised preparation of ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and biological surveys for a wide variety of projects in southern California and Nevada. Ms. Ivers has completed the National Wetland Training Institute (WTI) Wetland Delineation Course, WTI Wetland Plant Identification Course (for Southern California), and graduate level coursework in geographic information systems (GIS).
